The second edition of the Caribbean Multihull challenge, has now finished and it did not disappoint! With grey, rainy weather uncharacteristic for the Caribbean: crunches of carbon; booms breaking and boats retiring from hitting objects; it was certainly an eventful one.
“The first race day saw Maserati retire and Shockwave (with a significantly lower rating ) beat Argo comfortably . The second day saw Argo beat Maserati by two minutes whilst Shockwave broke their boom . The third day saw Maserati win a very close race over Argo by just 20 seconds” explains Robbie Ferron.
A lot of the competitors use the race as a warm up for the RORC 600, and a winner can usually be predicted from the results. However this years events meant each of the top competitors won a race, leaving the RORC 600 an exciting spectacle, with results suspected to be close!
