Caribbean 2019: What A Season!

We’ve had some fantastic results in 2019, with podium finishes for IRC 46 Pata Negra in the RORC 600, Les Voiles de St Barth’s and Antigua Sailing Week and also for GP42 Phan in St Barths and Antigua Sailing Week. Conditions were idyllic, as you would expect in the Caribbean, and all our crews have flown home buzzing!

Antigua Bermuda Race

At the time of sending you this email, Pata Negra is 100nm from the finish of the Antigua Bermuda Race and currently 1st in Class.Perfect conditions at the start of the race saw brilliant sunshine and 20kt trade winds combining to produce spectacular racing.

Caribbean 2020

With the Caribbean season over, it’s time to start thinking about next year! We pride ourselves on connecting you with the best yachts for the regatta of your choice and for 2020 LV Yachting have a range of exciting yachts available, including the incredible TS5 Catamaran Blackjack (currently in build in L’Orient). Raw, a brand new Figaro 3(Beneteau’s first production foil assisted racing yacht) and Sunrise, a JPK 1180.

BLACKJACK – TS5

The TS5 offers racing performance without compromising comfort, it has recorded speeds of 23 knots in 18 knots of wind. In St Barths this year the TS42 and TS50 claimed 1st and 2nd in the multihull class.

RAW – FIGARO 3

The Figaro 3 was awarded Sailing Worlds “Boat of the Year” for 2019, with judges praising its performance on all points of sail! Chartering the Figaro 3 will be the experience of a lifetime… A truly awesome racing machine, you are bound to have an exhilarating time on the water!

SUNRISE – JPK1180

Sunrise was launched in Spring 2018 and is hull number 2 of the JPK1180.

JPK have become known for building fast and very competitive race winning yachts and this is an exciting 40’ option for any enthusiastic team wanting to win.

PATA NEGRA – MARC LOMBARD 46

Pata Negra is an IRC 46 design by Marc Lombard, that has a proven track record of podium results! 

PHAN – GP42

Phan is a GP42 optimised for inshore racing.
Having recently undergone some exciting modifications, she had a great Caribbean season claiming 2nd in Class at Les Voiles de St Barths and 3rd in Antigua Sailing Week.
