St Maarten Heineken Regatta

A firm favourite of the Caribbean, over 40 years strong the St Maarten Heineken Regatta offer spectacular racing, and ‘serious fun’ as its renown for. Four days of world-class racing with some of the world’s most seasoned sailors, from more than 35 countries, sailing Maxis, Monohulls and Performance Multihulls. Crystal clear waters and cooling northeast trade winds give the pristine conditions for spectacular racing just off the coast of Sint Maarten. The racing days blend seamlessly into wonderfully entertaining nights, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Caribbean. This event is your bucket list must-do!

Racing takes place in the waters surrounding the island of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, offering a variety of courses suitable for all classes: Maxi’s, Ocean Racers, Multihulls, Bareboats, Cruisers, and everything in between. Maxis and Multihulls have their own race areas, with races suited to their sailing styles: an emphasis on coastal races with fewer windward legs for cruising-style multihulls and longer more challenging races for Performance Multihulls and Maxis.

The St Maarten Regatta sailors are offered a mixture of races with a combination of windward-leeward and coastal races blended together into an irresistible cocktail of racing chosen to suit each class. In 2019 the Gill Commodores Cup was incorporated into the main regatta meaning that there is more flexibility for the race committee to pick the best conditions and day for racing.

The Heineken regatta is open to all levels, from professional teams to novices and first time on the water sailors and with whole boat charter options to match every level, we will do our best to find an option that suits you!
