ABOUT THE RACES

Fort Lauderdale to Key West Race
16th – 19th January 2019
This 160-mile race will start on the 17th of January, off Port Everglades, before taking sailors on a southerly sprint, along the westerly curve of the Florida Keys to the Key West Sea Buoy. They will then make a hard turn onto the final leg up the channel, to the finish, off of Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.
Pineapple Cup – Miami to Montego Bay Race
27th – 28th January 2019
Immediately after the start, racers cross the Gulf Stream for the Northwest Providence Channel. The middle of the race offers a fetch down the eastern side of the Bahamas Island Chain towards the tip of Cuba. The final stretch is a 240 mile downwind sleigh ride from Cuba’s eastern tip, known as the Windward Passage, to the finish at Montego Bay, Jamaica.
