Sun Fast 3600 – Solis Ortus

Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Sun Fast 3600 is a larger, more powerful evolution of the Sun Fast range, built with pronounced chines and more volume to broaden her performance across the wind range, particularly in light airs where earlier Sun Fasts could struggle. She is equally at home fully crewed, inshore or offshore, and capable short-handed when required.
Twin rudders give her a sure-footed feel downwind, while remaining light and responsive on the helm upwind. Her sail plan is powerful without being difficult to handle, backed by a deep, high-aspect keel that lets her convert that power into speed cleanly, without becoming twitchy.
The hull is infused polyester with a balsa core, and the deck is similarly infused with a foam core, bonded and through-bolted to the hull. Deck hardware is Harken; One Way has twin wheels and a B&G navigation package.
