Buckaroo – Finot Conq 53

The Finot-Conq 53 is a lightweight, full-carbon cruiser-racer engineered for fast, sustained offshore passages. Designed by the renowned IMOCA Open 60 architects at Groupe Finot-Conq, this 53-foot hull features a wide, wedgy, flat-bottomed profile optimised for high-speed downwind planing.
Weighing just 10.5 tonnes, the boat pairs a powerful, square-top mainsail plan with a tonne of water ballast per side. Despite its formidable sail-area-to-displacement ratio, the deck hardware, twin rudders, and centralised winch layout are specifically configured for precise, high-intensity handling.
When paired with a full crew on the rail, this platform delivers exceptional stability, locking into stable, controllable sleigh rides across open Caribbean swells, while remaining sharp and responsive during tight short-course manoeuvres. Navigation and tactical decisions are supported by a B&G H5000 electronics suite for professional-level performance data.
Below deck, the interior features contemporary, minimalist styling that strips back unnecessary weight without compromising the essential storage and comfort. The Finot-Conq 53 is an exceptional charter choice for crews looking to log fast mileage, compete in demanding offshore races or race in one of the Caribbean's great regattas.
