Discover the exceptional 2018 JPS MACH 40.3 – an ideal blend for cruising and high-performance racing. With twin rudder and tillers, excellent electronics, good suite of sails and a 30HP Volvo Engine she boasts top-tier equipment and prepared for the sailing. The Class40, renowned as the most successful 40-footer in history, has seen 192 allocated hull numbers, with this vessel carrying #155.
Adhering to the box rule’s key specifications, the boat features a maximum length overall of 39 feet, 11 inches; a maximum beam of 14 feet, 9 inches; a draft of 9 feet, 10 inches; an average freeboard of 3 feet, 6 inches; a maximum mast height of 62 feet, 4 inches; a max working sail area of 1,238 square feet; a minimum displacement at 10,097 pounds; and a max water ballast of 1,653 pounds per side. Notably, the construction mandates exclude carbon fibre, aramid, honeycomb cores, and pre-preg resin for the hull, deck, interior structure, and fittings, providing a respite from the stifling darkness below decks.
While carbon fiber is permissible for the mast, boom, and bowsprit, the standing rigging must be steel rod. The sails are limited to eight, with all but two and the heavy-weather jib made from polyester and nylon. The regulations allow for a single fixed keel and up to two rudders. She is available for immediate viewing in N France.
