The Marion Bermuda Race was first raced in 1977 and designed to be a totally Corinthian event, with crews participating for the joy of sailing, with friendly competition amongst the racers being the key ingredient. The Ocean Race starts in Marion, Massachusetts, and ends in Bermuda, and provides a chance for more amateur crews to develop their blue water sailing skills, as well as for seasoned crews to compete in an Ocean Race across some lively sailing ground.

Taittinger Regatta

The Tattinger Regatta is a popular and successful fixture in the South Coast's racing calendar. Running over three days, it offers fun on and off the water. Friday involves a training day followed by a champagne reception ahead of 2 days of races. On Saturday, all boats now have a minimum of two races followed by a single race on Sunday with classes representing an historic timeline of yachting evolution from X One Design, Yarmouth One Design and IRC Classic Cruisers and IRC Swan, through to modern IRC racing divisions. Saturday's racing culminates in the social highlight of the weekend - held in the grounds of a landmark, waterfront property adjacent to the RSYC. The legendary Towers Party includes food, drink, music and a spectacular fireworks display. The enduring popularity of The Tattinger RSYC Regatta is easy to define: a diverse fleet and well-organised racing; onshore entertainment with a broad appeal and an informal atmosphere all set against a stunning backdrop.
