LV Yachting values the privacy and security of your personal information. This notice describes how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us when booking a charter and participating in a race event.

Collection of Crew Information

As part of the charter agreement, we collect details of the crew ahead of the charter. We collect this information through online contact forms, email, or phone. We only collect the information that is necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on board the yacht, and for event logistics.

Storage and Retention of Information

We store the crew information securely in our systems, Airtable and Hubspot, which are cloud-based database management systems. These systems allow us to securely store and manage your information, and only authorised personnel have access to this information. We will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal or accounting requirements. After this period, we will securely delete or anonymize your information.

Compliance with Regulations

We are committed to complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the UK Data Protection Act (CDPA). We will not use the information you provide us with for marketing purposes unless we obtain your explicit consent. We take appropriate measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information.

Sharing of Information

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

• The crew information that we collect is shared with the boat captain or skipper, who will be responsible for managing the crew during the charter. This is done in accordance with the charter agreement and is necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on board. 

• We may also share this information with event logistics providers, such as race organisers, as necessary to facilitate the charter or event. We will only share the minimum amount of information necessary for these purposes. 

• We may also share crew information with third-party medical providers who may need to provide medical assistance in the event of an accident or injury during the charter or race event. However, we take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is only shared with these providers when necessary and in a secure manner.
