Ideal to sail short-handed but equally adept at racing with friends between adventures, Wild Pilgrim offers unparalleled versatility and performance. The owner is selling as he has upgraded to a Class 40, but he has many great memories racing Wild Pilgrim including 3rd in the RORC Round Ireland Race 2022 and 4th overall and 3rd in IRC 2 in the Round Britain and Ireland Race in 2022.
The Sun Fast 3300, a collaboration between designer Daniel Andrieu and renowned naval architect Guillaume Verdier, stands as a versatile racing yacht perfect for solo, double-handed offshore competition, or fully crewed races inshore and offshore.
Featuring twin rudders for stability at steep angles and a sail plan designed for both power and efficiency, this yacht is built for competitive racing. The hull, constructed with vinylester and a balsa core, boasts a moderate wedge shape to minimise drag and optimise the centre of gravity, resulting in a light, fast, and highly responsive vessel.
Wild Pilgrim has never been grounded, but with a safety and performance orientated owner in January 2022 further structure was added to the keel matrix flanges, voids in the keel box from the factory were ground and replaced with solid glass. To further improve the load path into the keel matrix additional laminate was also added internally within the central keel well area. At the same time the keel bolts were replaced. In January 2024, Jenneau completed further warranty work. All of this has made Wild Pilgrim stiffer, improving performance.
Lightly used in 2023 and dry sailed from HYS she is in pristine condition ready for her next adventure!
