An immaculately maintained JPK 1080, lightly campaigned and extensively upgraded — ready to excel offshore or closer to home.
Launched new in July 2016, JPK 1080 – Kimanche Eve (GBR 711N) is a superb example of the highly regarded JPK 1080, renowned for her offshore pedigree, shorthanded performance, and all-round versatility. Based in the Solent and raced lightly—primarily double-handed—she has been meticulously maintained and thoughtfully upgraded, making her an attractive option for anyone seeking a competitive yet manageable performance yacht. She has benefitted from continuous investment and a rigorous maintenance programme.
Condition & Setup
For over six years JPK 1080 – Kimanche Eve has been dry sailed, with her hull Durepox coated below the waterline—meaning no antifoul build-up and a clean, efficient bottom. Twin rudders are finished with race antifoul, and the boat is currently set up to fly asymmetric sails off a carbon fibre retractable bowsprit. The mast is fitted with a track and adjustable car, allowing for a conventional symmetric setup if preferred.
Interior Flexibility
In 2023, the owner modified the interior to suit shorthanded racing with midship adjustable pipe cots. For those wishing to return to a more traditional layout, the original wooden cupboard units (three-door lockers per side) are retained and can easily be re-fitted. This flexibility makes Kimanche Eve equally suited to dedicated offshore campaigning or dual-purpose use.
Owners Comment : “This boat has been huge fun and very rewarding to sail shorthanded. After 9 years, my focus is shifting towards extensive cruising further afield, so I’ve ordered a new X-Yacht for delivery in 2026. It’s time for someone else to enjoy what JPK 1080 – Kimanche Eve can do.”
