The price includes; a professional skipper and mate and all boat and race costs.
The price does not include flights and transfers, personal insurance, onshore accommodation or meals ashore.

What to expect

This opportunity allows crew to be fully involved in the racing for this, the 200th Edition of the World Famous Cowes Week regatta. Your owner/skipper, Richard, is local to the area and has expert knowledge of this tactically challenging racing area in The Solent.

Itinerary

Friday 31st July – Practice Day
Saturday 1st – Friday 7th August – One race each day, ’round-the-marks’ organised by a different local yacht club each day. Starts alternate between the historic Royal Yacht Squadron line and laid start lines in The Solent. Racing takes place in all areas of The Solent to take advantage of the weather conditions on each race day.

Crew information

Richard is one of the most experienced skippers you’ll have the pleasure of meeting, having sailed throughout his life around the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Richard, who has crossed the Atlantic 20 times, owned several yachts before Emily of Cowes including the beautiful schooner, Coral of Cowes and the legendary ketch Emily Morgan.

Prerequisite experience

This opportunity is open to sailors with a range of sailing experience. The skipper has experience in bringing together a crew of mixed experience to make sure everyone is actively involved in racing the yacht.
