What's included

The price includes professional crew comprising Skipper & Mate and all boat and race entry costs. One Training day, all food whilst racing, a personal AIS and access to the internet, limited to 10 mins per day, to enable crew to stay in contact with family/business. There is also the opportunity to take part in a shakedown cruise from Madeira to Las Palmas ahead of the race.
Further additional costs include flights, transfers, meals and accommodation ashore, prior to and following the race, as well as personal insurance.

Whether you’re an experienced ocean sailor or setting out on your first big passage, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers offers unforgettable fun and challenges. Everyone is a fully involved crew member both above and below decks for this entry.

Itinerary

20th November – Crew Arrive in Las Palmas
21st November – Safety Briefing & Training Day
22nd – Lay Day
23rd ARC Race starts
ETA – Race expected to take 2-3 weeks depending on weather conditions

There is also the opportunity to take part in a shakedown cruise from Madeira to Las Palmas ahead of the race.

Crew information

Skipper, Hugo Mills, is an RYA instructor with hands-on racing experience in the UK and Caribbean. He has a genuine desire to share his joy of sailing.
Clients often praise Hugo’s calm, friendly style and careful organisation. Hugo aims to ensures every moment is memorable — from the first tack to the celebratory mooring.

Hugo will be supported by an experienced First Mate who will have extensive knowledge of this yacht.

Prerequisite experience

This opportunity is open to sailors with a range of sailing experience who are comfortable at sailing offshore.

Where

Gran Canaria, across the Atlantic finishing in St Lucia.

Accommodation

With limited crew numbers everyone will have their own bunk for this extended Atlantic passage. Crew will need to find accommodation ashore prior to the race, to allow for race preparations, and on arrival in St Lucia.
