What's included

Price includes all boat and race costs and saferty equipment, 2 training/boat preparation days, professional race skipper and food when racing. Additional costs include flights, transfers, accommodation ashore and personal insurance

What to expect

Starting in Marina Lanzarote and finishing approx 2995nm later in Antigua. The course takes the competitors through the Canary Islands, with their reputation for large acceleration zones and big waves, before heading out across the Atlantic Ocean.

The race has established itself as the definitive offshore transatlantic race bound for the Caribbean and attracts a competitive and diverse fleet of yachts and sailors from around the world.

Thursday 7th January – Crew join Mad Dash. training day and Gala Dinner
Friday 8th January – Training Day 2/Boat Preparation
Saturday 9th January – Race Start

Crew information

Skipper, Sam Tregelles, has turned his passion into a profession. He has lead flotillas in Greece and delivered yachts from the UK to Malta. He has also crossed the Atlantic and sailed extensively throughout the Caribbean. Sam loves sharing his passion for sailing with anyone from complete beginners to those looking to deepen their sailing skills.

Prerequisite experience

Previous offshore racing experience is required. We would also strongly encourage you to have completed your World Sailing Offshore safety and sea survival

Where

This thrilling 2,995-nautical mile challenge will once again set sail from Calero Marinas Marina Lanzarote in the Canary Islands before charting a new course west to a spectacular finish in Antigua, West Indies

Accommodation

Shared bunks onboard. Crew will need to find accommodation in Lanzarote in the days before the race and afterwards in Antigua.
