What's included

The price includes the professional crew and all food onboard, bunk/storage, fuel/berthing fees, AIS/PLB lifejacket and professional coaching.
Additional costs are personal travel and transfers shore accommodation, insurance, medicals, meals ashore, alcohol, any visas required and personal logbooks.

What to expect

Set among the Whitsundays’ natural beauty, Airlie Beach Race Week is more than picture-perfect—it’s a race-grade training ground for performance-minded sailors. Fleet racing here means evolving tactics daily, proactive crew training, and opportunities to practice mark roundings and starts in a regatta that always keeps you on your toes. Daily courses typically 15–30NM.

With expert coaching on hand and a fleet that mixes emerging talent and experienced tacticians, this is coastal racing with a focus on tangible outcomes for yacht racing training.

Crew information

Vixen Racing is led by double Olympian, Sharon Ferris-Choat, a Canadian-born New Zealander who has raced around the world three-times and is a world speed record holder.

Taylor Edwards is a versatile skipper and coach. He has worked across the spectrum — from dinghies and high-performance race boats to skippering offshore cruising yachts.

Prerequisite experience

This event is ideal for those new to coastal sailing courses but hungry for the pace and strategic learning of a competitive, multi-day campaign.
