What's included

The price includes the guidance of professional crew, accommodation onboard, all boat cost and provisioning whilst at sea. Additional costs include flights, transfers, onshore accommodation, meals ashore and personal insurance. Wet weather gear can be hired in advanced if requested at the time of booking.

What to expect

Join an offshore sailing journey from Valletta, Malta to Marbella. Over approximately 950 nautical miles across the Mediterranean, you’ll sail as an active crew member under guidance of experienced sailors. Expect a hands-on experience with changing conditions, teamwork and beautiful coastal scenery along southern Europe. A sporty and rewarding passage packed with adventure at sea.

*Combo deal : This passage can be combined with the leg from Marbella to Las Palmas, Gran Canarias (ahead of the ARC). Dates: 1st-6th November. There is a 10% discount applied when both legs booked together. Book both Malta – Marbella and Marbella – Las Palmas and get 10% off on both legs.

Saturday 1st November 2026 – Depart Marbella

Friday 6th November 2026 – Arrive Las Palmas

*This passage can be combined with the leg from Malta to Marbella (after the Rolex Middle Sea Race). Dates: 24th – 29th October. There is a 10% discount applied when both legs booked together.

Crew information

The skipper will be Jelmer van Beek. The crew will be a mixture of professional sailors from the Ocean Race team and crew members like yourself. The professional sailors have good knowledge of a VOR 65 and will be able to
guide and instruct you to be fully involved in all aspects of sailing a VOR 65.

Shared cabin with ‘hot-bunking’ (shared berths) to maximise comfort during the passage.

Whilst no previous experience is requested it is important that you are comfortable at sailing offshore and over-night
