BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival
Date
The BVI Spring Regatta is a week long, Festival and Regatta, two great events rolled into one, including some beautiful cruising, competitive racing and serious fun on and off the water! From its beginning in 1973, the BVIs Spring Regatta has grown in size with continuing support from racing enthusiasts around the world.
The festival begins with the Round Tortola Race and the Scrub lsland race and finishes with a champagne BBQ at the end. This is a great way to warm up and immerse yourself in the British Virgin Islands.
The 3 day regatta is predominantly windward/leeward courses, there are 2 races a day commencing at 1000 and finishing at approximately 1600. The courses are set in the Sir Francis Drake Channel on the south side of Tortola, in protective and relatively flat water, making for first class racing conditions.
The crews consider the BVIs Sailing Festival and Spring Regatta to be one of the best Caribbean regattas of the winter season, so contact us now if you’re interested in any of our exciting charter options!
