The price includes: Professional Skipper and first mate, berth onboard, all boat and race costs and meals when racing. Additional costs include FFV Sailing licence, accommodation and meals ashore., personal insurance and wet weather kit.
The duration of the event is approximately 13 days, including the 300 nautical miles qualification from Lorient when delivering the boat to Cowes and the return passage back, after the race.
At least 1/3 of the crew must have completed the World Sailing Offshore Safety Course
July 20th: Crew arrive in Lorient
July 21st: Depart for Cowes – training and qualifying passage
July 26th: Start of Rolex Fastnet, Cowes
2nd August: Estimated arrival in Cherbourg
Crew can choose to disembark in Cherbourg or stay onboard for return passage to Lorient

Previous offshore sailing experience is required
The race starts off the Royal Yacht Squadron start line of Cowes on the Isle of Wight on the south coast of England. Leaving The Solent through The Needles Channel, the race follows the southern coastline of England westward down the English Channel, before rounding Land’s End. After crossing the Celtic Sea, the race rounds the Fastnet Rock off the southwest coast of Ireland. Returning on a largely reciprocal course, the race rounds the Isles of Scilly before finishing at Cherbourg.
