The price includes all boat and race costs, professional crew and safety equipment. The cost of provisioning is not included and will be shared amongst all crew. Additional costs include flights, transfers, meals and accommodation ashore and personal insurance.
This will be the fourth time Celeste participates in the ARC, having participated in 2017, 2023 and 2024. As a crew member, you’ll participate according to your ability in all activities on board, including planning, cooking, navigation, sail trimming, and steering the boat. You will sail in watch teams, where you are on watch for three hours and off watch for three hours.
On board all safety equipment is provided, including personal gear like life jackets and safety harnesses.
There is 220-volt power on board when the inverter is running, for charging items like camera batteries and mobile phones (Swedish plugs fit on board). Pack your belongings in a soft bag. You will keep your belongings in the bag during your stay on board.

Johan Billström – Skipper
Having been on the water since a young age, Johan has developed a deep connection to the sport and honed a wide range of skills. His experience spans across a variety of dinghies, including the 470, e-dinghy, Laser, and Tornado, demonstrating versatility and adaptability on different types of vessels.
Johan has been part of the crew on Celeste of Solent since 2017, crossing the Atlantic 3 times and the Baltic Sea, as either Skipper or First Mate. John has accumulated invaluable experience in both inshore and offshore sailing, with approximately 20,000 nautical miles logged.
With a wealth of experience, from competitive racing to long-haul deliveries and bluewater cruising, he is thrilled to push the boundaries of sailing, always striving to improve and take on new challenges both inshore and offshore.
Johan is a Master of Yachts unlimited.
Previous offshore sailing experience is requried.

Crew will need to find accommodation ashore before and after the race. Good options for Las Palmas and St Lucia can be found on Airbnb.
