RORC Caribbean 600
Date
This offshore race has become a must-do event for serious sailors. Organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) it is renowned for its 600-nautical-mile course that loops around 11 Caribbean islands, including Antigua, Barbuda, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barths and Guadeloupe.
The appeal lies not just in the spectacular tropical backdrop, but also in the challenging conditions, with trade winds, open ocean passages, and intricate coastal navigation. Sailors face a mix of tough upwind legs and exhilarating reaches, making it a true test of skill and endurance.
In 2023, the Nelson’s Cup was introduced offering 2 days of inshore racing and a race around Antigua ahead of the Caribbean 600. With top-class competitors and stunning scenery, it’s no wonder this race is on many sailors’ bucket lists. Are you ready to join them?
