The price includes professional race skipper, 2 training days, accommodation on board (bunks) all boat and race costs and food when sailing. Additional costs include flights, transfers, meals and accommodation ashore and personal insurance.
When you book onto this race you are fully committing yourself, you are not a passenger on this boat. We really feel strongly that this is your boat to race and we facilitate that in every way we can. There will be only 5 people in the crew, and the result of this race will depend on each crew member!

Afanasy is a highly experienced offshore sailor, having completed more than 150,000nm. Afanasy has extensive experience in ocean crossing and racing with amateur crew and is a commercially endorsed yacht master offshore. He used to own a 80′ maxi, which he skippered around the world, including 2 Caribbean and a Mediterranean season, the Cape Town to Rio race, the Transpac and the Sydney Hobart. Onboard Rock’n’Roll Afanasy has competed in 2 Rolex Fastnet Races and many other local races.
This opportunity is open to sailors with a range of sailing experience. The professional skipper has experience in bringing together a crew of mixed experience to make sure everyone is actively involved in racing the yacht.
The Heineken Regatta takes place in Sint Maarten which is the smallest inhabited island in the world divided between two nations, the French and the Dutch and this lends the island a unique air. Fantastic sailing conditions, a dedicated race village, great marinas and anchorages and vibrant shore life top off the picture.
Accommodation is availble onboard (bunks) alternatively crew are welcome to arrange their own accommodation ashore.
