The skipper will be Cathal Mahon. Cathal is a very experienced Volvo skipper and sail trainer and logged more than 250,000 NM offshore. He flourishes in guiding and training young talents and is very patient. Cathal is a great motivator for sailors and teams and leads them safely across oceans and race courses. Cathal speaks German, English, and Croatian, the working language on the boat will be English.
Some previous experience of offshore sailing is required.
Gran Canaria, across the Atlantic finishing in St Lucia.
Crew will need accommodation ashore in Gran Canaria in the days ahead of the race.
