What to expect

Often referred to the “perfect 600-mile race” for its superb race course, excellent weather and sea conditions, and outstanding Greek hospitality, the Aegean 600 is based in the Mediterranean, in particular the Aegean sea, the sea of myths and legends.

A 600nm non stop offshore race made by sailors for sailors, the course was designed by experienced offshore racers who know that 600 miles is the perfect length to test all the skills a team needs to demonstrate their abilities in offshore sailing: preparation, safety, seamanship, navigation, proper sail selection and trim, and the efficient pacing of crew work in what can be sustained and demanding weather conditions.

Prerequisite experience

Some previous experience of offshore racing is required. We would also strongly encourage you to have completed your ISAF Offshore safety and sea survival

Where

The newest 600nm offshore race is set the become one of the 600nm classics! Starting and finishing in Athens the course weaves around 13 island in the Aegean sea including; Mykonos, Naxos, Ios, Santorini, and Cape Sounion.

The Aegean 600 is becoming known for its challenging course, with strong winds, currents, and varying sea conditions, as well as for the stunning scenery and cultural heritage of the Aegean islands.

An exhilarating non stop race, with breath taking scenery aiming to become a highly rated offshore classic, this is one not to miss!
