Saturday 14th June – 10am, crew welcome, safety briefing and first training day
Sunday 15th June – Training Day 2
Monday 16th June – Training Day 3, Skipper’s briefing and opening reception in evening
Tuesday 17th June – Race preparation, race briefing and lay day
Wednesday 18th June – Race Start
Saturday 28th June – Expected arrival in Cowes, +/- I day, depending on weather conditions. Sisi will be moored in Gosport, after arrival.
The Skipper is Gerwin Jensen whose sailing experience includes 6 Atlantic crossings, 5 Sydney Hobart races, 4 RORC 600, 4 Rolex Middle Sea Races and 2 Rolex Fastnet Campaigns.
Boat Captain, Oliver Kobale, has over 70,00 miles experience on Volvo 65.
Rapahel Hussl, bow/crew, has more than 20,00 miles experience on Volvo 65 and has completed the RORC 600 and Middle Sea Race.
Konstantin Kobale, Trim/crew, has more has more than 20,000 miles experience on Volvo 65 and has completed the RORC 600 and Middle Sea Race.
Some previous experience of offshore racing is required. We would also strongly encourage you to have completed your ISAF Offshore safety and sea survival
The race starts in Newport, Rhode Island and finishes in Cowes. UK
Crew will need to find accommodation ashore ahead of the race.
