What's included

The price includes technical and tactical support for the yacht provided by professional crew. Three days of training, all boat and race costs. It also includes light sailing clothing with team identification. Lunch boxes will be provided on board during training and the regatta. One team dinner is also included.

Additional costs include flights, transfers, accommodation and meals ashore. Personal health and accident insurance, insurance covering the cost of maritime rescue services as well as cancellation costs insurance is not included. Personal sailing equipment including foul weather gear and footwear is not included.

The charter starts in St Maarten although it may be possible to join in St Barth’s if necessary.

What to expect

A fantastic opportunity to join members of the Polish Yacht Club Sopot who have chartered ‘Cockatoo’ for this unique regatta. Clients will be fully involved race crew members in this “Caribbean Style” sponsor-free event where the goals are sailing, community engagement and enjoying the island of St Barths! The event is hosted by the Saint Barths Yacht Club (SBYC) which introduces all students on the island to sailing and other water-sports. The charter starts in St Maarten although it may be possible to join in St Barth’s if required. A fabulous chance to support the grass-roots of our shared passion for the sport of sailing.

8th/9th April – Crew Arrive in St Maarten
10th April – Training Day out of St Maarten & evening sail across to St Barths
11th April – Training Day & Skipper’s Briefing
12th April – Training Day
13th April – Race Day
14th April – Race Day
15th April – Lay Day Regatta (RS Quests & SBYC Junior sailors)
16th April – Race Day & Film Night at SBYC
17th April – Race Day & Awards
18th April – Crew Departs by ferry or local flight to St Maarten

Crew information

This Volvo 70 ocean race yacht is presented with a professional skipper and crew to guide and assist in the sailing.

Prerequisite experience

No previous race experience is required for this event.

Crew will need to arrange accommodation ashore – please request further details when booking. Charter group staying at Mary’s Boon Hotel in St Maarten.
